DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking an Integration Engineer (IE) to process the integrations of commerce solutions into games within the Live Gamer Network. The ideal candidate will have experience in the video game industry, a strong track record working with game development teams, and solid engineering experience. Excellent communication skills are essential; broad media sector experience is a plus. The primary task of the Integration Engineer will be the implementation of Live Gamer’s technology into video games. Working with major game development teams and Social network developers, the Integration Engineer will be required to provide both remote and onsite technical expertise, acting as the primary expert with respect to integrating the client’s technology with Live Gamer’s commerce platform.  The IE would possess an ability to quickly understand the clients technologies and how they should interface with Live Gamer. Strong technical and communication skills, together with the ability to build a rapport with people, is a must.  Integration requires attention to detail, advanced planning, multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with a focus on meeting all deadlines.  An acceptable candidate would be an excellent troubleshooter, with an ability to quickly teach one’s self any technology while also having programming experience using PHP, JavaScript, CSS and one of the following: C#, C++, or Java.

REQUIREMENTS

The candidate must possess all of the following:

• The ability and willingness to self-teach, on one’s own time, any technology that a client and/or Live Gamer uses.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• An understanding of how to write web service clients and servers
• The ability to program in PHP and Javascript using CSS
• The ability to troubleshoot raw HTTP requests
• Experience in programming in C#, C++, or Java (and a willingness to learn any other of the languages if necessary)
• Possess a thorough knowledge of at least one database system (e.g., mySQL, SQLServer, etc.) and have a willingness to learn Oracle.
• The ability to scope requirements with a client.
• A familiarity with video games (especially MMO’s).
• The ability to clearly explain technologies to a client as well as document such technologies (such as transaction request flows) via the use of Visio or similar tool.
• A willingness and ability to travel, both domestic and International, as necessary.
• A bachelors degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science or equivalent related experience
• A strong work ethic and be self directed and internally motivated

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

• An understanding of security concepts (e.g., TLS, SSL, the methods of authentication in a web environment, etc).
• AJAX
• Experience with social networking API’s and/or social gaming
• Integrating a website with payment gateways (e.g., Zong, Paypal, etc).
• Use of web simulators
