DESCRIPTION:

Live Gamer is looking for an energetic and organized candidate to fill a long-term contract opportunity for a Quality Assurance Engineer in our New York office. In this position, you’ll work as a key member of our Engineering team to test a groundbreaking product for our client – a premier global financial institution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish and implement and QA infrastructure for a consumer facing and web based API system.
• Review functional specifications from a QA perspective.
• Create test cases and execution test plans, with a strong emphasis on automation.
• Maintain and develop client and server site test scripts.
• Post-implementation testing of production system
• Work closely with VP of Technology on methodologies to improve efficiency of development and QA cycles.

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS/BA Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (desired)
• 5+ years experience in a QA role testing web based applications: client and server side.
• Demonstrated experience in automated and manual QA tools and methodologies.
• Ability to write, debug and maintain test scripts.
• Knowledge of configuring, deploying and managing industry standard QA toolsets / frameworks (Loadrunner, HP, QTP, Mercury, Selenium).
• Experience testing server side web APIs.
• Experience with cross-browser and cross-operating system testing. (Mobile/Smartphone browsers experience helpful.)
• Knowledge of testing client-side JavaScript applications.
• Software development experience a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile and iterative product development methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work daily in our New York City office.

COMPENSATION:

This is a full-time contract position compensated at hourly rate.
